On February 17, the first full-liquid cooling public supercharging station of Shenzhen CEGN Co., Ltd. (CEGN) was run officially in the expressway service area ---- Dongguan Mayong Service Area of Guangzhou-Shenzhen Coastal Expressway, with an output power of 480kW. Vehicles could run for 300 km once charged for 5 min. The station could satisfy the charging requirements of all supercharged models on the market.
Located in the CNOOC Mayong Service Area of Guangzhou-Shenzhen Coastal Expressway, the station was constructed by CEGN in partnership with HYCAN and CNOOC South China Sales Co., Ltd. (CNOOC South China Sales). With a 480kW full-liquid cooling charging stack (including 2 liquid cooling supercharging terminals and 2 ordinary terminals) and several standard charging piles, the station could satisfy the charging demands of 8 electric vehicles in order to meet NEV owners’ various charging demands well.
The most remarkable feature of the full-liquid cooling super charging pile is its fast charging speed, which costs less than 10 min only. After a coffee break, your car will be fully charged. The ultra-light charging gun with 28mm wire diameter and ultra-fine liquid cooling design is 50% lighter than traditional charging gun, and could therefore be held with one hand. It could effectively block external sand and dust, improve reliability, and reduce failure rate and maintenance cost through internal circular heat dissipation; liquid cooling replaces air cooling, making charging process more quiet and bringing users more comfortable charging experience. The unique protective measures could meet IP65 protection grade. Compatible to both fast and ordinary charging, it is both technical and economical.
The construction of supercharging station in Dongguan Mayong Service Area not only symbolizes the beginning of CEGN’s formal exploration of charging operation in expressway service area, but also sets a typical example for cooperation and win-wins between HYCAN and CNOOC South China Sales, and boosts the development of new energy industry in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
During the activity, CEGN signed a strategic cooperation agreement with HYCAN and CNOOC South China Sales respectively. On the basis of each party’s advantageous resources, all parties would explore diversified cooperation mode and make a layout on supercharging station with the joint efforts. CEGN and HYCAN would work together to build a more intelligent user ecosystem through interconnection services such as vehicle-machine platform docking and charging platform interworking. CEGN and CNOOC South China Sales would deepen their cooperation in such aspects as equipment sales, PV, energy storage, charging and PV energy storage & charging project, power demand side response, virtual power plant, green electricity trading, etc. in order to boost the transformation and upgrading of Comprehensive Energy Station of CNOOC South China Sales.
In the future, CEGN will keep increasing the charging speed, improve station image, make layout on supercharging network actively, explore commercial mode vigorously, open a new chapter of supercharging together with all NEV owners and realize “non-inductive” charging.
