On April 16, 2025, Hongchol Shin, Chief Technology Officer of SK Electlink—a leading EV charging service provider in South Korea—visited the Shenzhen HQ of CEGN for an in-depth exchange. The two parties engaged in detailed discussions on EV charging technology innovation, smart energy solutions, and opportunities for global market collaboration
During the meeting, CEGN showcased its strong R&D and advanced manufacturing capabilities, with a focus on its energy solutions and flagship project cases. Through a real-time demonstration of its intelligent cloud management platform, the SK Electlink team gained first-hand insight into CEGN's efficient management of its nationwide charging network. The platform displayed detailed information including charger types by region, density of deployment, live operational data, and intelligent maintenance systems. The two sides engaged in deep technical discussions around operation strategies and fault warning classification mechanisms. SK Electlink expressed high recognition for CEGN's precise and digitalized platform management.
In response to concerns about equipment reliability, CEGN shared how its chargers maintain stable performance in extreme conditions—such as severe cold, high humidity, and heat—through protective design and component optimization. Its intelligent touchscreen system also supports deep customization to flexibly adapt to user needs across different countries, offering strong global adaptability and technical flexibility.
During the visit, the SK Electlink delegation toured CEGN's Supercharging demonstration station at Longhua, where they observed the efficient operation of the 720kW liquid-cooled charging stack and liquid-cooled terminals. The fast-charging capabilities and stability of the equipment left a strong impression on the visiting team. The two parties also exchanged views on ultra-fast network deployment and discussed feasible strategies for localized overseas operations.
SK Electlink is a leading EV charging service provider in South Korea, specializing in comprehensive fast-charging solutions. Its business spans charger deployment, charging services, platform operations, and customized subscription-based product management. It operates the second-largest charging network in the country and holds the largest market share in the Seoul metropolitan area, serving 54% of South Korea's EV users. Its proven success in the domestic market offers valuable insights for future collaboration.
As EV adoption continues to rise in South Korea, the construction and operation of charging stations will become a key business focus. Looking ahead, CEGN will leverage its mature manufacturing and intelligent platform capabilities to work with SK Electlink in accelerating the deployment of charging infrastructure across East Asia and globally. The two parties plan to deepen cooperation on charging hardware and platform operations, jointly promoting high-quality development of the new energy vehicle industry and contributing to the global electrification journey.
